STOCK MARKET SNAP:

Stock market continued to fall in early trade for the fourthday on Friday. The 30-share benchmark index, BSE Sensex opened with a decline of 64.46 points or 0.39% at 16,355.59, while the broad based NSE Nifty started with a fall of 26.85 points or 0.54%, at 4,938.85. At 09.17 a.m., the Sensex was trading down 66.52 points or 0.41% at 16,353.53 with 21 components falling. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 26.85 points or 0.54% at 4,938.85 with 40 components falling. 

STOCK MARKET MOVERS:

ITC contributed fall of 6.64 points in the Sensex. It was followed by Reliance Industries (6.33 points), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (5.32 points), Larsen & Toubro (4.88 points) and H D F C Bank (3.95 points).

However, Infosys contributed rise of 3.41 points in the Sensex. It was followed by Hero Motocorp (1.7 points), Hindustan Unilever (0.95 points), Wipro (0.65 points) and Sterlite Industries (India) (0.46 points).

Major gainers in the 30-share index were Cipla (1.37%), Hero Honda Motors (0.74%), G A I L (India) (0.40%), Sterlite Industries (India) (0.26%), Infosys Technologies (0.25%), and Wipro (0.22%). On the other hand, Jindal Steel & Power (1.54%), Maruti Suzuki India (1.48%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (0.83%), Bharti Airtel (0.71%), Larsen & Toubro (0.67%), and Mahindra & Mahindra (0.66%) were the biggest losers in the Sensex.
